April 4, 2005: Women’s Executive Council Donates Monies to Four Organizations

The Women’s Executive Council (WEC) is a social and charitable organization composed of women who are business owners and executives in a variety of occupations in the Orlando metropolitan area. Our diverse membership includes women with careers in accounting, health care, fitness, education, retail, marketing, banking and law.

WEC has a variety of activities that members enjoy while raising funds for scholarships. At the annual Women’s Achievement Awards Luncheon, scholarships are presented to women enrolled in local colleges; and outstanding women who work in the Orlando area are recognized for their contributions to the community. Other WEC activities include staffing a booth at city festivals, conducting a spring fashion show, hosting the fall wine and dine, monthly bridge nights, and fun escapes for members.

This year, in addition to the scholarships, WEC awarded four $250 checks to Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, Life Line of Central Florida, The Howard Philips Center for Children & Families, and the Harbor House.
